I don&#8217;t think I have them right but I really like them. They are wonderfully sour with a little heat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3 lbs Hungarian wax peppers (hot or mild)<br \/>\n2 cups sauerkraut<br \/>\n1 cup white sugar<br \/>\n8 x 1\/2 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n8 x 1\/2 teaspoon oil<br \/>\n8 x 1 tsp pickling spice<br \/>\n8 &#8220;dashes&#8221; of turmeric<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wash, cut tops off and core peppers<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"image0581.jpg\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tonypauley.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/image0581.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tonypauley.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/image0581.jpg?w=1920&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"image0581.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Stuff peppers with sauerkraut as tightly as possible<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"image059.jpg\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tonypauley.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/image059.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tonypauley.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/image059.jpg?w=1920&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"image059.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Stuff peppers into sterilized pint jars<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"image060.jpg\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tonypauley.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/image060.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tonypauley.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/image060.jpg?w=1920&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"image060.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Heat sugar and vinegar to boiling<\/p>\n<p>Place jars in hot water and pour boiling water over peppers.
