I\u2019ve done them on the grill, in the smoker, boiled and then roasted, braised, and any other way you can name. If you want falling off the bone ribs with a ton of flavor, you will not find a recipe that beats this one. It is not traditional, but it works great.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Ingredients:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><em><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Meat<br \/>\n<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">2 racks of pork loin ribs (or baby back) cut in half<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Rub<br \/>\n<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">1 cup light brown sugar<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00bd cup kosher salt<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">1 tbsp chili powder<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">1 tsp jalape\u00f1o flakes<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">1 tsp garlic powder<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">1 tsp onion powder<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">1 tsp rubbed thyme<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">1 tsp mustard powder<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">1 tsp smoked paprika<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">1 tsp cracked black pepper<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00bc tsp cayenne powder<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><em><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Braising Liquid<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">1 cup Bourbon<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">1 cup water<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">2 cloves minced garlic<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">3 tbsp honey<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">1 tsp Worcestershire sauce<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Directions:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">1. Combine rub ingredients in a bowl. Rub all over ribs. Cut a piece of heavy duty foil about 3 feet long with shiny side up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">3. Place a \u00bd rack on the foil<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><a title=\"image123.jpg\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tonypauley.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/image123.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tonypauley.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/image123.jpg?w=1920&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"image123.jpg\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">4. First fold the foil lengthwise, then close up the side by folding over. Be sure to seal tightly but be very careful not to puncture the foil. A hole will ruin the process. Repeat steps 2-4 for the remaining racks.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">6. Preheat oven to 250F <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">7. Combine braising liquid ingredients. Microwave the ingredients for 1 minute.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">8. Divide liquid between bags. Fold end over 2-3 times to seal the bags. Double check all the way around to make sure seams are tight.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><a title=\"image128.jpg\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tonypauley.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/image128.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tonypauley.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/image128.jpg?w=1920&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"image128.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">9. Place bags on cookie sheets and place in the middle of the oven. Cook for 2.5 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">10. Remove ribs from oven and allow to cool to touch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">11. Pour liquid from each bag into a large sauce pot (be careful this can be hot).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><a title=\"image131.jpg\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tonypauley.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/image131.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tonypauley.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/image131.jpg?w=1920&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"image131.jpg\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">12. Bring sauce to a boil and reduce by at least half.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">13. Brush sauce all over ribs. Turn on broiler and broil until starting to crisp all over (about 1-2 minutes). Remove ribs, cut into 2 rib portions.
